Journalist · Cinematographer · Visual Storyteller
I don't chase stories.
I'm already there when they happen.
Every frame a truth. Every word a reckoning. Every room — mine.

I have always been that person. Not because I was taught to — but because attention is the most natural thing I do. I sense what hides beneath facades. I read emotions that people don't say out loud. And I match myself to the room not to blend in — but to make something real happen.
I grew up between Amritsar and London — two cities, two cultures, two entirely different ways of moving through the world. That distance gave me two lenses: one that sees with precision, one that sees with warmth. Both live in everything I create.
A debate judge — someone whose job was to find weakness — told me I had the precision of a natural anchor and the instincts of a real journalist. I didn't celebrate. I got to work.
I'm a journalist interning at The Tribune, a cinematographer who has directed two complete works entirely solo, a photographer who shoots silence, a public speaker who has held stages, and a visual storyteller who believes every frame, every word, and every room has a story waiting to be told right.
My thought process is simple — I don't give up and I don't take no for an answer. If there's a solution I find it. If there isn't — I create one. I believe in fighting for the truth even when I'm the only one fighting for it. I transform empathy into action. I thrive in the space where craft meets urgency.
Amritsar is not just where I live — it is what I see through. A city of extraordinary cultural and spiritual richness that lives in every street, every voice, every evening light. It shows up in my photography, my journalism, my cinematography. Amritsar is in the texture of everything I make.
For the tenacious, scrupulous attention to detail — a set perfect to the nth degree.
For the attention to details the audience might never consciously notice — but always feel.
Vantage on First Post. For the precision, clarity, and unwavering confidence of her voice.
His blog on Medium — for the depth of thought and the clarity of philosophical expression.
This is not a quote I carry — it is a compass I live by. Every frame I shoot, every word I write, every stage I stand on is built on this foundation: that belief precedes reality. That what you hold in your mind with enough conviction, you will eventually hold in your hands.
I believe in fighting for the truth even when I'm the only one fighting for it. I believe that empathy without action is just observation. I believe that the most powerful stories are the ones told with both precision and heart — and that these are not opposites.
Fact-oriented. No-nonsense. I will fight for the truth even when I'm the only one in the room who still believes it matters.
I sense what lives beneath the surface — and I don't leave it there. I transform what I feel into something that moves, reaches, and changes.
I don't give up. I don't take no for an answer when a solution exists. And when it doesn't — I find one. This is not stubbornness. It is commitment.

Four years in a city that taught me to see the world differently. Between two cultures I developed something that can't be taught — the instinct to pay attention when everyone else is performing.
A judge whose job was to find weakness told me I had the precision of a natural anchor. I walked away with two first prizes in impromptu speech and an appreciation award from the Police Commissionerate of Amritsar.
I picked up a camera and discovered I had been seeing in macro all along. Every shot an emotion. Every frame a decision. Beauty doesn't announce itself — it waits.
Two complete original works — one documentary film, one radio drama. Both directed, produced, scripted, and edited entirely by me. Solo. From first word to final cut.
Hundreds of delegates. An international cultural festival. Artists including Usha Uthup and Kailash Kher. I personally managed 13+ delegates — and by the final evening every one of them asked for me by name.
The newsroom. The real thing. Currently interning at one of India's most respected national newspapers — learning the discipline, ethics, and craft of journalism from the ground up every single day.
Filmmaker. Cinematographer. Visual storyteller. I am building something I believe in deeply — a body of work that lives at the intersection of culture, humanity, and truth. यत् भावो — तत् भवति.

A behind-the-scenes portrait of an all-women film crew set against Jammu's rich Dogri culture. Every word of dialogue written by me. Every light placed by me. Every cut intentional. Built entirely solo.
A complete radio drama built on sound, voice, and writing alone. No visuals. No shortcuts. Immersion earned entirely through craft. This is the project I am most quietly proud of.
One of India's most respected national newsrooms. Research. Drafting. Editorial coordination. Fact-checking. Story development. Publication.

A three-day international cultural festival. I personally managed 13+ delegates — artists including Usha Uthup and Kailash Kher.
Led 15 performers across 4 major college events — 2 fresher welcomes and 2 farewell ceremonies — as lead anchor and hosting coordinator.
